What you hear during the call is a compressed stream. Duocast records the camera and microphone on each guest’s own computer and sends the file in small pieces, so it arrives exactly as it was recorded.

Duocast is a Mac app for the host. Guests join from the browser with nothing to install. Every voice and camera is saved on its own device and uploaded while you talk, so a weak connection never touches the take.

On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl instead of ⌘. In the Mac app the same controls sit in the menu bar.

Every person arrives as their own track with a transcript. Delete a sentence and the video goes with it. Filler words and long pauses are marked, and nothing is removed until you choose.

When do I get access?
We are opening in small groups. Everyone on the waitlist gets three months free when their invite arrives, with no card needed.
Is there a Windows version?
At launch the host app is for Mac. Guests can join from a browser on any laptop or phone, Windows included. A web app for hosts follows after launch.
Do guests need an account?
No. They open the link, choose a camera and microphone, and join.
Where do the recordings go?
During the call each recording stays on its own device and uploads in pieces. Once uploaded it is in your Duocast library, and guests can keep a copy of their own track.
Does the transcript work in Turkish?
Yes. Turkish and English are both supported, including sentences that mix the two.
